Car sales in March recorded strong growth, with many models having an increase of more than 100%.
According to the MotorbeamMarch is one of the rare months when there is no car with negative growth. Among them are models with more than 100% increase such as Hyundai Grand i10 with 157%, Maruti Swift 153%, Maruti Dzire 109%. In the list of 10 most sold car models in March, Maruti Suzuki has 7 models, equivalent to 70%, the remaining three models are representatives of Korean carmaker Hyundai.

Leading the top car in March are four Maruti Suzuki models, of which Swift sold the most 21,714 units, up 153% year-on-year, followed by Balero with 21,217 units sold, up 86% year-on-year. March period last year at 11,406 units. For third and fourth place are Wagon R (18,757 cars) and Alto (17,401 cars).
Creta is Hyundai’s best-selling car in the Indian market with 12,640 units, an increase of 88% compared to the same period in March 2020, ranking at No. 5. Grand i10 with 11,020 cars and Venue 10,722 cars.
Ranked 6th to 8th respectively are the three models of Maruti Suzuki including Eeco (11,547 units), Dzire (11,434 units), Vitara Brezza (11,274 units), corresponding to increases of 94%, 109% and 104%.
