The latest product on the British automaker’s electrification journey inherits the success of the third generation Flying Spur. The company also wants to prove to customers that the introduction of green cars does not affect the luxury and power of being behind the wheel, or using any of the driving modes of luxury cars.
Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid combines a 2.9-liter V6 petrol engine with a plug-in hybrid electric motor, for a total capacity of 536 horsepower and maximum torque of 750 Nm. Flying Spur Hybrid is also Bentley’s most efficient car when it can cover a distance of 700 km with a full tank of gas and a fully charged battery pack.
High torque and quick throttle response, Flying Spur Hybrid is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km / h in 4.1 seconds.
The Flying Spur Hybrid also integrates the airline’s latest portfolio of intelligent and intuitive equipment, tailored to the driver and passenger. Inside, the automatic Start / Stop switch is replaced by three control modes E-EV Drive, Hybrid or Hold allowing the driver to manage battery usage during the journey.
The EV Drive mode is turned on right after starting the car, helping the driver to immediately experience the electric motor on a luxury car. The energy management system is also represented through the entertainment screen, where the vehicle’s statistics and charging timer can be viewed. Additional information is also shown through the center screen behind the steering wheel, the entertainment screen in the center of the dashboard includes battery capacity, operating range and charging information.
The 14.1 kWh lithium-ion battery pack can be fully charged in 150 minutes. The British automaker has begun accepting orders for these luxury green sedans.
