BJP MP’s big claim on lack of oxygen, said – Government did not pay attention

The entire country is bearing the brunt of the Corona epidemic. Almost every day, reports of death of patients due to lack of oxygen are coming out. In a government hospital in Chamarajanagar in Karnataka, there are reports of deaths of 24 Kovid patients in the last 24 hours due to lack of oxygen. The central government is in the dock on deaths due to lack of oxygen across the country. Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha MP from BJP, Subrahmanyam Swamy has claimed that the Parliament was warned by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Health in October 2020 about the lack of oxygen, but it was ignored.

Subrahmanyam Swamy made this claim in his tweet. In a tweet from his official Twitter account, the BJP MP wrote, ‘The government should stop saying how much oxygen is available rather tell how much has been supplied and which hospital. In October 2020, the Parliamentary Standing Committee for Health warned that there was a huge shortage of supply and output of oxygen cylinders. The government did not pay any attention to it.

Many hospitals in Delhi are also struggling due to lack of oxygen, due to which there have been reports of death of infected patients. The Delhi High Court also reprimanded the Center for providing 490 metric tonnes of oxygen allocated to Delhi.

How did Corona suddenly become so frightening in the country? Did the government not give any prior warning to scientists and health experts about this? Just as the BJP MP says that the government was warned about the shortage of oxygen, similarly scientists also warned the government about this, which was ignored.

The British media institute The Guardian quoted a news agency Reuters on Saturday as saying that four Indian scientists had told the Indian government that a massive ban was needed so that the new variant of the Corona would not spread to the country.

It was said in the report that by ignoring the scientists’ warning, the government approved the big events. Lakhs of people participated in Kumbh, political rallies etc.
