AmericaThe driver of a Tesla Model Y noticed smoke coming from a BMW ahead of him, so he chased after it, trying to sound the alarm, on a New Jersey street.
Brian, owner of the Model Y, and his wife are driving in Woodbridge, New Jersey. They and the BMW X1 ahead of them both turned right at an intersection and soon discovered smoke coming from the car to Germany. At first, Brian thought that the smoke was coming from the exhaust pipe and that the other party wanted to “punish” him, but quickly saw flames under the car while the other driver seemed to have no idea what was going on.
Despite carrying a two-month-old baby, Brian and his wife decided to speed up to approach the BMW to warn. After they honked repeatedly and tried to get attention, they finally caught up with each other and the other driver noticed.
The BMW driver immediately stopped the car in the middle of the road, turned on the warning light and ran away. A few seconds later, the fire broke out and there was a loud explosion.
The person being helped then thanked Brian and his wife. In the BMW, only the driver and this man were unharmed. They exchanged information and Brian sent the other driver a video recorded from the Tesla.
