South AfricaTwo children aged 8 and 10 with their parents in an SUV experienced a nightmare when the elephant in the iSimangaliso Wetland park got angry.
The family of four survived and suffered only minor injuries when their car was crushed and overturned by a male elephant on the road that runs through the park and leading to Cape Vidal beach on the morning of January 16.
Video was recorded from a car stopped nearby. Even this driver repeatedly honked the horn to make the elephant stop, but the animal didn’t care around, continued to use the trunk to turn and turn the car upside down.
The man’s voice can be heard urging the woman while filming the video, saying, “Call them”, but the response is “I don’t know who to call”.
The representative of iSimangaliso Wetland park said it would investigate the cause of the elephant’s violent action.
At the scene, the Ford SUV was heavily dented, the windshield was broken. Behind the car are 4 bicycles.
