Experts suggest tips to help improve health when using TikTok

From videos sharing recipes at home to the campaign “Optimism overcomes the epidemic – Stay at home is still fun”, TikTok has become a platform for millions of users to express their creativity.

Recently, TikTok has officially added a new resource to guide users to improve their mental health. The platform also offers helpful tips developed in partnership with experts, including the International Association for Suicide Prevention, Crisis Text Line, Live For Tomorrow, Samaritans of Singapore and Samaritans (UK) ).

Starting in early 2021, the company has rolled out new features to assist users who are suffering from or recovering from an eating disorder. When users search for terms related to eating disorders, the platform helps them access the right tools and resources.

Besides, TikTok also works with content creators to make a series of videos to raise awareness and support public mental health.

Through this series of videos, content creators will share their personal experiences with mental health care, provide information on support sites, as well as encourage users to actively share. Talk to your loved ones about the problems you’re having.
