Hyundai Santa Cruz started taking orders


AmericaThe first Hyundai pickup model has 4 versions for customers to choose from, with automatic transmission and 6 color options.

Hyundai offers 4 configurations for Santa Cruz with names from low to high SE, SEL, SEL Premium and Limited. Configuration does not go into many specific details, the SE is equipped with an 8-inch infotainment system that features compatibility with Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. This version will have lane keeping assist and forward collision avoidance assist with pedestrian and bicycle detection.

Santa Cruz SEL version has smart key and button start. SEL will get an eight-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats and blind spot warning. Customers will also be able to purchase an additional package for increased memory capacity, which comes with a 10.25-inch digital central control display.

SEL Premium comes with LED headlights and digital key. This version is also equipped with dual-zone automatic climate control, leather steering wheel and automatic anti-glare rearview mirror and HomeLink software.

In the highest-end version of Santa Cruz Limited, it has an exterior with dark chrome accents and 20-inch alloy wheels available. Additional amenities include heated leather front seats, ventilation, heated steering wheel and a Bose sound system. Hyundai also features a blind spot monitor and a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system with GPS navigation.

The SE and SEL are powered by a 2.5-four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 190 hp and 244 Nm of torque. Vehicles using an eight-speed automatic transmission, with optional four-wheel drive system.

Limited and SEL Premium will have more capacity because of the 2.5 four-cylinder turbocharged engine, producing 275 hp and 420 Nm of torque. The two high-end versions use an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, with paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

Santa Cruz will start production next month and deliveries are scheduled this summer. Currently, the company has not announced the selling price for the versions and Hyundai for customers who pre-order is only 100 USD, which is refundable.
