The country recorded a new record of deaths and contaminations on Saturday, for the third consecutive day, a sign of the violence of the epidemic wave. According to the government’s toll, 1,075 people have died and 37,678 have been infected in the past 24 hours.

Closure of businesses

Faced with this disaster, and in an attempt to stem a new epidemic outbreak, President Vladimir Putin had to resolve once again to close businesses and administrations for a week, from October 30 to November 7.

For its part, the Moscow city hall will close all non-essential businesses and businesses for eleven days from October 28. Several regions have also decided to set up health passes.

The speed of spread of the virus has several factors: the appearance of more aggressive variants, but also and above all the low respect for wearing a mask and the reluctance of the Russians in the face of the vaccine.
