BrotherThe interior of the Grenadier impresses with a different layout, sturdy and rough in the boxy design and the ability to drive 4 wheels.
About a year after the launch with just the exterior design, the Grenadier has finally revealed itself completely with its own style. SUV with body on frame, center console with square and round knobs.
Like the Ford Bronco, the Grenadier is available with additional controls that can be used to connect winches, outdoor work lights, camping equipment and other equipment. This means that the driver does not have to perform additional actions such as connecting more lines. These extra knobs are located in the dashboard that extends into the ceiling.
Another common point between Grenadier and Bronco is the ability to “swish” thanks to interior materials that can dry and resist stains. Those who like a luxurious look can choose leather upholstery.
The air vents look borrowed from 1990s cars, but the Grenadier is by no means outdated. The SUV is equipped with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, i-Drive knob and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The automatic gear lever is similar to the BMW car.
Grenadier is equipped with large grips in the A-pillar and dashboard – a characteristic feature of an off-road vehicle. The car is sold with two versions: 5 and two seats.
The SUV has the option of a 2,000 W power adapter. In addition, customers can pay extra for the sunroof in the front seats, which can be tilted or disassembled.
Ineos Greandier is equipped with a BMW 6-cylinder in-line engine, gasoline or diesel, with 4-wheel drive and a two-speed auxiliary transmission and three differential locks. The petrol engine produces 281 hp and 450 Nm of torque, while the diesel engine produces 245 hp and 550 Nm of torque.
Off-road models use steel or alloy wheels, size 17 or 18 inches with Bridgeston All-Terrain or BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires. The car is 4,927 mm long (with rear suspension), 1,930 mm wide and 2,033 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,922 mm.
Ineos will receive orders in October, production from mid-2022 and start delivering vehicles in July of the same year. Price has not been announced, expected from 55,000 USD. At the moment, 130 Grenadier prototypes are being tested around the world, with the next destination being the sand dunes in Morocco.
Ineos is the car company that has disputed the intellectual property rights of the famous SUV Defender with compatriot Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). In August 2020, JLR was declared a loser in the lawsuit at home, meaning that Jim Ratcliffe, the boss of chemical company Ineos, was free to make an offroad Grenadier model with a similar appearance to the Land Rover Defender. Previously, Ratcliffe, a 67-year-old billionaire, once said bluntly that the Defender off-road legend inspired Ineos’ model.
