Jérôme Commandeur wins the Alpe-d’Huez Festival with “Irréductible”

The film “Irréductible” by Jérôme Commandeur won the Grand Prix of the 25th edition of the Alpe d’Huez comedy festival on Saturday with his film Irreducible. Second feature film by the comedian, he tells the story of a civil servant who will do everything to resist a degreasing having to remove his position among others.

Asked at the closing ceremony about his relationship with officials after this film, he judged them “very very good. Some tell me that I haven’t gone far enough“. The film, where Jérôme Commandeur plays the main role, and Gérard Darmon a minister, assigns secondary roles to Christian Clavier and Valérie Lemercier. It should be released in theaters in June.

We smile for the picture, directed by François Uzan, won the Special Jury Prize, and Twins but not too many, by Olivier Ducray and Wilfried Méance, the audience award. The Best Actor Award was given jointly to four actors, those of the Canadian film “goodbye happiness“: François Arnaud, Antoine Bertrand, Louis Morissette and Patrice Robitaille (absent).

The Best Actress Award was won by Audrey Lamy for “Squad“, where she plays a canteen in a home for migrants. The short film prize went to “Celle qui n’had pas vu Friends” by Charlotte Gabris.
