Eclipse Cross facelift version (upgraded) design changes, focusing on the rear end of the car with new trunk doors. The crossover model retains the typical Dynamic Shield style of Mitsubishi. Front bumper and new headlight layout. Two muscular sides with angular tendons.
The interior focuses on the infotainment system, the screen increases from 7 to 8 inches with a new graphical interface, physical volume rocker. Engineers also removed the touch pad in the center console, choosing instead to interact with the main screen.
The engine on the new Eclipse Cross for the Japanese market remains unchanged from the current version. The 1.5 I4 turbocharged engine has a capacity of 152 horsepower, a maximum torque of 249 Nm. Vehicles using CVT gearbox, optional one- or two-wheel drive. In other markets, Nissan added plug-in hybrid but did not release details.
According to the plan, in addition to the Japanese domestic market, the new Eclipse Cross will sell in Australia, New Zealand in November and is expected to arrive in the US in the first quarter of 2021.
