Now, Apple has released iOS 12.5.5 for older iPhones and iPads with “important security updates”.
On September 23, Apple rolled out the iOS 12.5.5 operating system update for older iPhone and iPad models. The update includes notable bug fixes and security improvements and is recommended for all users, the company said.
This update is compatible for iPad Air, iPad mini 2, and iPad mini 3, as well as the iPod touch 6th generation, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus. All devices are not supported with iOS 13, but Apple continues to update with important security fixes. Previously, “Apples” released iOS 12.5.4 in June to fix security for WebKit vulnerabilities and other issues.
Users can check the device and quickly update it by going to Settings (Settings), selecting General (General), then selecting Software Update (Software Update).
