After graduation, Raj Kamal Yadav went to America for further studies. After this he came back to fulfill his father’s dream and became an IAS in the very first attempt.
It is the dream of every educated youth to clear UPSC, but success is not achieved by everyone. Many times the candidates get frustrated after not getting success. Today we will tell you the story of Raj Kamal Yadav. Raj Kamal had cleared the UPSC exam in the year 2013. He got 21 rank in the UPSC CSE 2013 exam and became an IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre. Even though Raj Kamal is an IAS officer today, his struggle was no small.
Raj Kamal Yadav had told in an interview, I never dreamed of going to civil service. I wanted to become an army officer. I had given many exams for this also, but could not get success in it. I had my early education in the village. After this my admission was done in Sainik School. I did my graduation in Veterinary Science in Chennai. After that I went to America for further studies.
Raj Kamal Yadav says, My father was working in Gramin Bank. He was the first to tell me about becoming an IAS officer. Even after moving to America, I used to think about my father. I came back and started preparing for UPSC after coming here. I had already prepared for many government jobs. That’s why even after seeing the UPSC syllabus, I came to know that now I have to prepare for Mains only.
Sharing the experience of his interview, Raj Kamal Yadav had said, in the interview I was asked about the reason for not joining the army even after studying from Sainik School, then I said that if I ever got a job in the army or civil. If I get a chance to choose, I will choose the army. All the people sitting in the interview were happy with this answer of mine and they also congratulated me for this answer. Later I was asked about stomach related diseases, then I said that the samosas you are eating, most stomach related diseases are caused by eating it.
