Real car breaking scenes in ‘Fast & Furious 9’

AmericaPart 9 of the “Fast & Furious” series is filled with speed racing scenes and a series of cars destroyed, burned without thanks to computer graphics.

F9 there is no shortage of computer graphics (CG) scenes, like previous installments and many other Hollywood blockbusters. However, more and more dangerous action scenes are done on set instead of using special effects. The video below shows real-life footage (IRL) in F9:

Among them, there was a Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R and a Dodge Charger Widebody in the scene of the explosion, or a MkIV Volkswagen Golf was crushed by a giant pickup truck. In another scene, the Toyota GT86 model flew past the window of a roadside store and fell into the trunk of a truck.

In particular, there is a scene where the Charger “jumps” over a cliff with the help of a series of cables, with a stuntman in the cabin.

Part 9 of the Fast & Furious movie series has a budget of more than 200 million USD. The main cast includes familiar faces such as action stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, or the second return of the beautiful Charlize Theron and veteran actress Helen Mirren.

The film opens in theaters in Hong Kong and Russia on May 19, in the US from June 25, and in Europe in July.
