In this low summer period and while the health pass is now mandatory in all cinemas, the Ciné Cool operation, which starts on August 21 in Strasbourg, is shaping up to be welcome. On the program: a week of films in preview and a single price, 4.50 euros per seat, or 30% less than a full price. What to encourage vacationers to push the doors of dark rooms!

Indeed, since the introduction of the health pass, the number of admissions has fallen by half. Twelve Strasbourg cinemas and seventy establishments from the region are participating in the operation. Among them: the Star Saint-Exupéry, the Odyssée, the Cinéma Vox and the UGC Cité Strasbourg Etoile.

Grand Est: cool movie operation

The cinemas participating in Ciné Cool benefit from an attractive program with no less than forty films in preview. Among those on display include: Eiffel, a biopic around Gustave Eiffel with Romain Duris and Emma Mackey, France, a dramatic comedy featuring Léa Seydoux in the role of a famous journalist, or the animated film D’Artagnan and the three Musketeers for kids.

According to Denis Blur, president of the Association of Independent Cinemas of the East, which contributes to the financing of Ciné Cool, this new edition is even richer than that of last year.

The number of films offered was much less important, especially in preview. In 2020, we had almost no American films while this year, we are enjoying both films that were not released in 2020 and the 2020 production scheduled for 2021, so there is a plethora of films for all audiences

Ciné Cool, from August 21 to 28, 2021 in 70 cinemas in Strasbourg and Grand-Est. More information on the event website.
