The beautiful Indian recipes of Manish Arora


Former artistic director of the Paco Rabanne house and founder of a fashion brand that bears his name, the Indian couturier Manish Arora did like everyone else to furnish his 2020 confinement: the kitchen. But above all, he went in search of the dishes of his childhood, following the traditional recipes of Punjabi gastronomy sent to him by post – and written by hand – by his mother, his aunts and his cousins.

With his friend the photographer Grégoire Kalt and using tablecloths, utensils and crockery straight out of his cupboards, he immortalized his culinary creations in their most beautiful finery, from the kitchen of his Parisian apartment. Both an art book (prefaced by Sophie Calle) and a recipe book, her book is also an ode to the powerful charge of love contained in each dish prepared at home.
