Toyota Raize appears at the dealer, the price is expected to be more than 500 million


Many dealers accept orders for Toyota’s new B-size CUV model, imported from Indonesia, 1.0 turbocharged engine, CVT transmission.

Raize is the latest small high-rise car product that is about to be launched by Toyota in Vietnam market. Many dealers have recently announced to receive deposits from customers with an expected delivery schedule around October and November.

According to car sales staff at the dealer, Toyota Raize has a single version fitted with a 1-liter turbocharged engine, 3 cylinders with a capacity of 98 horsepower, maximum torque of 140 Nm, CVT gearbox. In the Indonesian market, Toyota Raize also has the option of a 1.2-liter engine, with a capacity of 88 horsepower and maximum torque of 112 Nm. 5-speed manual transmission.

There is no official price of Raize yet, however, dealers give the expected number for the car about 530-550 million. The car has a number of safety features such as electronic balance, hill-start assist, blind-spot warning, cross-traffic alert.

In Toyota’s product range, Raize is positioned smaller than the C-HR (B-class CUV). The car has a length of 3,995 mm, a width of 1,695 mm, a height of 1,620 mm and a wheelbase of 2,525 mm.

With the above dimensions, Toyota Raize is like an A+/B- class car. A true B-sized CUV model like Kia Seltos has parameters of 4,315 mm long, 1,800 mm wide, 1,645 mm high, 2,610 mm wheelbase. Raize will be a direct competitor of Kia Sonet (smaller than Seltos), the model also plans to launch in Vietnam around October.

Raize is developed based on the DNGA platform of Daihatsu, a subsidiary of Toyota. Vehicles will be sold in Vietnam by importing Indonesia. Before Raize, the Japanese automaker sold Corolla Cross (B+/C-class CUV) imported to Thailand and was quite successful in sales when it became the second main product next to Vios sedan.
