VinFast increases warranty to 10 years for gasoline cars


The 10-year or 200,000 km warranty policy is applied by VinFast from January 12 to all gasoline engine cars that have been and will be sold on the market.

The entire line of cars using VinFast’s gasoline engines will be extended the warranty period to 10 years, or 200,000 km, whichever comes first. This is the longest warranty period for an ordinary car model in the Vietnamese market, equivalent to the VF e34 electric car that has just been handed over by the company.

Specifically, the Lux A2.0, SA2.0 and President models previously had a 5-year warranty period, which will be doubled. VinFast Fadil has a warranty period of 3 years (or 100,000 km) which is also increased to 10 years (or 200,000 km). For VinFast cars that have been sold and are in circulation, this new policy will be automatically updated by the company.

Earlier, at the Consumer Electronics Show CES 2022 taking place in the US, the company announced a strategy to stop producing gasoline cars, focusing on developing electric vehicles in the future. Here, VinFast also launched a range of electric vehicle products, including 5 models, ranging from Grade A to Grade E, including: VF 5, VF 6, VF7, VF 8 and VF 9.

“The increase in the warranty period for gasoline engine vehicles is VinFast’s commitment to all customers using its vehicle lines, regardless of whether it’s gasoline or electric,” said Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy, Vice President of Vingroup. cum General Director of VinFast worldwide said.

On January 6, VinFast launched Mobile Service, a mobile car repair service, to bring convenience to customers using its cars. In the first phase, Mobile Service for cars will be deployed in 5 big cities including: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang and Can Tho. With electric motorbikes, this service is carried out nationwide by the company.

Currently, VinFast car users are entitled to free parking for 6 hours each time, at Vincom commercial centers and Vinhomes urban areas nationwide. Residents in Vinhomes urban areas will receive free monthly parking until the end of 2022.

By the end of 2021, VinFast has sold 35,723 cars of all kinds to the market, up 21.2% compared to 2020 in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic having a heavy impact on the Vietnamese auto industry. In which, VinFast Fadil became the best-selling car model in the country, with sales of 24,128 units.
