Why not suspend the tainted IAS-IPS instead of transfer? CM Yogi gave this answer

In a program, Yogi Adityanath was asked the question, ‘Why don’t erring IAS-IPS officers suspend instead of transfer?’ So he answered something like this.

Questions are being raised on the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh regarding criminal incidents like Lakhimpur Kheri, murder of lawyer in Shahjahanpur court premises. Opposition parties are cornering the government and reminding them of their promise of ‘Ram Rajya’. Yogi Adityanath himself has been saying on various platforms that after he became the Chief Minister, either the goons-rogues left the state or are in jail. He has also been assuring strict action against the officials who failed to stop the criminal incidents. However, after the recent incidents, the opposition parties allege that the government is shielding the responsible administrative officers.

‘No faith in transfer’: Meanwhile, an old video of CM Yogi is also becoming increasingly viral on social media. In which he is seen talking on issues like transfer-posting of officers. A woman asks him, ‘My Yogi ji, this is a small question from you that no matter what department of the government he works in, even if he is an IAS-PCS officer. Whenever he does some wrong thing, why transfer him? Why not suspend?’

In response to this question, Yogi Adityanath smiles and replies, ‘When I took oath as the Chief Minister and did not do any transfer-posting for a month, people started saying that they are not doing any work. We said let it work. We saw that transfer-posting was necessary, so we started doing it. We have also warned earlier that we do not believe in transfer-posting. If needed, we will prepare to send it home and do it completely. We are going to take such action very soon.

Notice to officials: Recently, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had instructed all the District Magistrates and SPs to stay in the office from 10 to 12 in the Janata Darshan program. But in the subsequent investigation, reports of neglect of this instruction by some officers came to light. After the complaint received by the CM, a call was made to the office of DM, SSP and SP during the public darshan, but no one picked up the phone. Now after identifying all such officers, the Yogi government has issued a show cause notice to them. In this notice has been sent to 14 DM and 16 SP.
